The Sunday Playlist #3

THE SUNDAY PLAYLIST #3
Today was my third radio show and as always happens, I had an absolute whale of a time. So once again I walked out the building feeling like I was absolutely loving life, and about to do some serious Julie-Andrews-running-across-the-fields-in-a-highly-enthusiastic-manner style skipping down Oxford Road, as you do. Despite cutting it insanely close when it came to getting there on time, what with everything that could go wrong going wrong on my journey there, and with the end result being me unintentionally playing 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA, today's show was a complete and utter joy to do. My sister was up for the weekend, so she sat in the studio with me and kept making me laugh. We also did lots of singing and dancing to the songs I played, which in my opinion is a true testament to the power of good music, if it allows you to get lost within it. The guy whose show is before mine hung around for a few minutes too and showed us where we could find free frisbees (rather random but also incredibly awesome) though I didn't throw mine because I know that I would basically cause a domino chain of events that lead to the studio setting on fire or something along those lines.

Heading back to the music I played today, it really was a complete mixture of the old, the new, the classic, the unique, and a beautiful little melting pot of different styles, approaches, vocals, beats, and instrumentals, which despite all the differences in my opinion intertwined fantastically. And so with that, I'd like to present to y'all the songs from today's Sunday Playlist, and I'd really recommend following up on The Native Sibling, Hosier and Lily & Madeleine in particular *wink wink, nudge nudge*. As always, I'll be back on the airwaves next Sunday 1-2pm so if you're anywhere near a computer, please do listen along and give your eardrums a workout with some rather swanky tuneage...
