Regnum Saturni

REGNUM SATURNI

It feels like so long since I last did a photography post, but when I saw Regnum Saturni's work, I was so bedazzled and lovestruck that I knew I couldn't not show you dear readers his stunning photography work. I came across Regnum Saturni's work via Redbubble, after we both mutually followed each other, and he seemed like such a lovely person, as he is so very, very talented, that I knew instantly that I had to help him get the accreditation and exposure he so rightly deserves. This guy is crazy, super duper, insanely talented, and I'm pretty sure you're going to love his work as much as I do.

Regnum Saturni is the rather cool alias for German photographer Michael Schauer, and translated from Latin it means Saturn Kingdom, which is just so intriguing and beautiful, and seems to perfectly match Michael's aesthetic. Specialising in landscape, portraiture and events photography, Michael aims to use his camera and overflowing photographic talents to capture the unifying, transcending beauty that's hidden within the world, waiting to be found. He then unleashes it and shares it with us lucky viewers, making us realise just how much beauty is embedded in this world, that we often fail to realise or truly appreciate.

When you look at Michael's work, you see magnitude, awe, serendipity, tranquillity, infiniteness. It's like the seasons all melt into one. All the usual markings and traces of the world evaporate, and instead you're transported to this magical kingdom which evokes a heaven on earth kind of notion. It makes me want to look at the world through fresh eyes. It makes me want to explore and roam and wander till my feet are sore and my legs ache, but my heart is full and bursting with love and happiness and contentment. It makes me long to be free and limitless as a soaring bird. That's how special his work is.

I hope you enjoy looking at some of the photographs I've included below, all of which belong to Michael, and if you want to see some more of his gorgeous work, just head to his portfolio and shop, the links of which are included below.
