Suki Waterhouse L'Officiel Paris October '14

Suki Waterhouse, L'Officiel October 2014
So I'm an avid follower of the wonderfully fabulous British model Suki Waterhouse on Instagram, my absolute fave social media site (I can literally spend the entire day on there if my wifi allows it, which at uni it unfortunately doesn't) and after trawling through my feed yesterday I saw she'd posted a really stunning photo of herself, and what might that photo be, I hear you ask? Why it was the photo above, taken from the October 2014 cover of L'Officiel Paris which the lovely Suki will be gracing, dressed in what just might be the most iconic piece from Burberry this season- the monogrammed autumnal cloak. And doesn't she just look absolutely gorgeous? Unfortunately I don't have any other photos from the shoot to share with you, as of yet, however if you keep your eyes peeled on the L'Officiel Paris website they should be posted online any time soon, as will the magazine be hitting the shelves from tomorrow onwards.

Music Monday #2

Music Monday #2
I've been loving and listening to so much new music these last few weeks, what with all my flatmates being equally music obsessed and our ipods being in constant rotation in the ipod dock, as we try to impress each other with our best tuneage. So I decided that as it is a Monday, this evidently calls for a much needed Music Monday, featuring all the amazing music that I've been obsessing over and repeatedly overplaying just to satisfy that music craving in my soul, and voilà, here it is!

Pascal Campion

Pascal Campion
A few months ago my sister, who is an avid Tumblr devotee and frequenter, came into my room and ever so enthusiastically begged me to come to the computer to look at the work of this artist she had found. The artist in question was a certain Pascal Campion (I'm sorry but how cool is his name?!) and his work literally took both of our breaths away we adored it so much. It's so beautiful, so fluid, so enchantingly magical to look at and I don't doubt it will be long before we're clubbing our left over pennies together to purchase a Pascal piece somewhere down the line. Pascal is a French-American artist, illustrator, animator and concept designer, to name but a few of the marvellous strings attached to his bow, and he's worked for Disney (say what?!), Dreamworks, Paramount Pictures, Cartoon Network... the list goes on and rightly so, because Pascal is one heck of a creative wizard, as you'll see in the works I'm about to show you.

The way he depicts and captures life is in my opinion unparalleled. I've never seen anything like it. Just by looking at his pieces of art, which more often than not capture those often missed moments of simple beauty and serenity in life, you somehow feel as though you are right there in that moment, a quiet observer of sorts, and it really is the most incredible thing. And if I could live and exist in the dream land that Pascal vividly crafts to life in his artwork for eternity, I so totally would, and wouldn't you?

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer '15

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/ Summer 2015
Just over a year ago I came to the conclusion that Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana was my absolute favourite designer label. There was just something about those gorgeous, vibrant, unapologetically beautiful, sparkling designs that connected with me, not to mention the divine attention to detail both in the clothes themselves and the jewellery and hair that accompanied it. It took my breath away that something so beautiful could be created like that and brought to life so strikingly year after year after year. And the D&G Spring/Summer 2015 collection that débuted in Milan Fashion Week yesterday was no exception. With a somewhat sensual, seductive and slightly gothic theme running throughout the collection, we saw the marriage of blood red with midnight black, dazzling jewels and encrusted diamonds, draping of lace and baroque-esque panelling, all brought together so brilliantly and oh so very D&G. It really was a stunning sight to see...

Elio Sorci

Elio Sorci
When I was reading through one of the Sunday magazines the other week, as per usual (hello bookworm over here) there was an article about the Italian photographer Elio Sorci who is often considered as being the first official 'paparazzi' or 'paparazzo'. What greeted my curious eyes was a multitude of the most gorgeous black and white photos which captured the glorious, glamorous and ever so sublime magic of days gone past. There was Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot to name but a few and I couldn't help but be filled with a wistful longing to be a part of that world gone by. Kind of like the work of Arthur Elgort, which I also adore, Elio's photography has the ability to transport you, to captivate you and to entice you, it's intimate yet not obtrusive, more of an insight into a world that many of us will never know, and I think that's the magic of Elio's photography...
