GARAGE MAGAZINE S/S 2015
How cool are these five covers taken from Garage magazine's Spring Summer 2015 edition?! Hope your answer was v.cool, because mine definitely was after discovering these sublime photos earlier this morning. With creative direction and vision coming from Pat McGrath and CHAOS FASHION, the likes of Joan Smalls, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Lara Stone and Binx Walton are transformed into stunning, fierce CGI-real life hybrid. Each dons a pair of fabulously chunky,glossy, colourful BEATS headphones, taken from the new Royals Collection, and assumes a bold, strong, 'don' mess wi' me gurl' facial expression before being taken to the realms of the supernatural with a dose of CGI wizardry. The expertise digital artistry is magnificently realistic, beautifully contouring, caressing and enhancing each model's fine-point facial features to a T. I love how the model's faces are adorned with minimal make-up, allowing their natural beauty to shine effortlessly through, and I also love the marriage of real life photography with first class CGI artistry, as the two interlink so perfectly, and how this relatively new creative exploration is now being used in such a mainstream way. This technique, combined with the stunning model faces and futuristic imagery to me symbolises the future, it makes me realise how far we've advanced, and in so many different ways too, and it makes me feel pretty darn excited about what is soon to come...
